Exosephobia

the-small-friendly-dragon:

You probably don’t know what exosephobia is. Because it’s not a thing (yet).

I have an intense fear of foreign objects (such as tubes, tampons, needles, contacts, etc.) going into my body. Today I decided to research and finally find out what that fear is called. Turns out a lot of people have it, but it doesn’t have a name.

I thought, that’s bullshit. I’ll make a name.

Exosephobia is pronounced EX-o-seh-phobia. It comes from the Greek words for out (exo) and in (se).

Exosephobia is the fear of foreign objects going into or coming out of your body. It can also be the fear of stuff inside your body (organs, blood, etc.) coming out of your body. It can lead to not liking or being afraid of doctors, dentists, sex, pregnancy or childbirth, and blood, among other things.

Please spread this. We need a name for our phobia.

My pink hairtye is missing and it’s lame. I left it tied up around the cornflakes and someone else in the house decided to have cornflakes and lose my hairtye in the process.

It’s crazy when you stop to think about how many times you’ve thought to yourself, “This is it. I just can’t bear to do it anymore. I’m done.” And yet here you are. You’re still breathing, still living, still fighting for joy, for life, for light, for love. And you are loved. For as much as you may be struggling right now, you’re here. You’re strong as hell. Don’t forget it, kid.
