Exosephobia
You probably don’t know what exosephobia is. Because it’s not a thing (yet).
I have an intense fear of foreign objects (such as tubes, tampons, needles, contacts, etc.) going into my body. Today I decided to research and finally find out what that fear is called. Turns out a lot of people have it, but it doesn’t have a name.
I thought, that’s bullshit. I’ll make a name.
Exosephobia is pronounced EX-o-seh-phobia. It comes from the Greek words for out (exo) and in (se).
Exosephobia is the fear of foreign objects going into or coming out of your body. It can also be the fear of stuff inside your body (organs, blood, etc.) coming out of your body. It can lead to not liking or being afraid of doctors, dentists, sex, pregnancy or childbirth, and blood, among other things.
Please spread this. We need a name for our phobia.
